Technical Manager
As part of its ongoing growth (range expansion and export growth), MTS is creating a position for a Technical Manager.
Reporting directly to the Site Manager, and working closely with the Production Manager, your role will be to manage the methods, quality and environment team.
Our company designs, manufactures and markets carrying accessories for commercial vehicles.
You will lead a team of engineers and technicians and supervise their studies, working on the creation of new products and the improvement of manufacturing processes.
Activities
- Putting together and leading the team: design engineer, project managers, draughtsmen, methods technicians, industrialisation manager, etc;
- Studying the technical and economic feasibility of projects
- Design product developments
- Distribute the work according to each person's expertise and workload
- Manage any sub-contracting: draw up invitations to tender, select partners, etc.
- Optimise the resources to be deployed, work organisation and manufacturing lead times
- Drawing up the costs and manufacturing plans for the works to be built upstream of the projects
- Liaise with the Production and Purchasing departments, etc.
- Take charge of all quality improvement actions arising from the quality system, quantify them and implement the resulting action plans,
- Design solutions to optimise production quality
- Check the quality of subcontractors' services
- Ensure compliance of finished products (specifications, standards, etc.)
- Implement the environmental management system in accordance with the iso 14001 standard
- Monitor regulations and standards and represent management in dealings with authorities in these areas.
Skills
- Proficiency in project management software, CAPM and 3D design software (Solidworks) is desirable,
- Technical skills required by the company: steel and aluminium welding, robotic tools, logistics and technical packaging, 2D and 3D design and simulation.

Experience
The candidate must be an engineer with at least 5 years' technical experience in an industrial environment.
